DR. ASPDEN’S ENERGY PATENTS

Dr. Aspden is named as inventor of several patents, mainly U.K. patents, but there are some U.S. patents. They divide into three categories. (1) Those which relate to the ‘new energy’ theme and are still in force and so are of current commercial interest. (2) Those which concern the energy topic but are no longer in force, meaning that the cost of renewal by Dr. Aspden from his private resources did not warrant maintenance during their lifespan. (3) Those which, unlike the ones listed under categories (1) and (2) have lapsed and do not concern ‘new energy’, but are listed for completeness as a disclosure of Dr. Aspden’s publication record.

PATENT EXPLOITATION POLICY

Concerning patent exploitation policy, Dr. Aspden is open to offers that seek full acquisition of any of the patents under his control that are still in force, meaning those listed at this time in category (1) that are not marked with an asterisk. The asterisk signifies that, owing to current contractual involvements, the patent in question may not be available for acquisition, though licence overtures are still welcome. For those patents in force and not marked by an asterisk, an option right for a limited period is available if appropriate consideration is offered for that option and the ultimate terms for acquisition are detailed in the option agreement. The intention here is not to provide design details and demonstrations or warranties but rather to await approach, preferably on behalf of those who have already have tested the invention to their own preliminary satisfaction on the basis of Dr. Aspden’s disclosures, as in the patent. Only on that basis can one work out a fair deal for all parties, but in such cases a very modest offer will suffice to take a transaction forward. It is expressly noted that Dr. Aspden is not here soliciting research funding so that he may advance the development of these inventions. Dr. Aspden is the person to contact on all matters relating to these patents (E-Mail: haspden@iee.org or Tel: Int+44-703-769-361).

*****

Progressively the following listing will become complete in providing an index giving access to abstracts and, in many cases some commentary on the subject of the patent. Owing to the facilities of Internet, the full specification and claims of the U.S. Patents can be accessed directly using the links now entered. The date references are according to year of publication of the patent or patent application but are in reverse order chronologically, the more recent appearing first in the following listing.
